Since we are in the process of moving and I would like to find good homes for my babies, I decided to only use my curly adults so all of my goslings will be curly (most people want curly over smooth breasted). It's turning out that one pair, Helmut (a curly mostly white male from Vicky Thompson) and Amber (a curly buff female of my own breeding) are my main producers. I have only hatched one gosling from my buff pair and a gray saddleback from Helmut and Inge.
Many people are asking for pairs and trios, I'm assuming for breeding, but, so far, I can't make those with the full siblings. I do have around 28 more eggs in the incubators in 4-5 more hatches, so we shall see how it goes. The saying "don't count your chickens before they've hatched" is very true with goslings.
I will keep you posted.
My next hatch, hatch D, is due next Thursday/Friday.
